I deal with anxiety myself and know the physical symptoms that go along with it. But I also know my anxiety is nothing compared to your OCD. I've been treating people with OCD for over 25 years as a licensed therapist, and I can tell you that out of all the available treatments out there, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy is your best option. It's the only therapy I used to treat OCD.
Intrusive thoughts force you to avoid the people and activities you love the most, making it feel like it's impossible to feel hopeful about the future. I realize that the idea of sharing your OCD thoughts with me can feel uncomfortable, but I'm here to offer support without judgment. You are not a bad person.
