I started my therapist career treating young adults and saw many OCD cases on high school and college campuses. I’ve moved on into private practice, treating more cases and learning how to treat a long list of OCD subtypes. With NOCD’s teletherapy, I can help more people face their OCD challenges by using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. ERP is proven to work and works with all subtypes. Whatever form of OCD you’re going through, I can help.
OCD can make you feel ashamed or scared of the thoughts you’re experiencing. You may be feeling shame or embarrassment, which prevents you from opening up about them to family and friends. You may think that they won’t understand your situation. But your intrusive thoughts are just thoughts and not reflective of your values. I’ll create a non-judgemental space so you can disclose everything that’s affecting you, and we’ll use that to help you get better. I want to build a good rapport between the two of us, so we can meet your goals faster. You’ll find me to be a great listener. Even though you’ll be doing the actual work, what you disclose to me helps me guide you better through your journey to recovery. Allow me to understand your perspective, and together we can bring you to a place of freedom away from OCD’s hold on you.
