After getting licensed in 2018, I worked at a local hospital within the Intensive out-patient care section. I moved into the world of OCD because of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. ERP is a hands-on approach (even during teletherapy) that allows me to figure out creative ways to address your fears concerning your OCD subtype or subtypes. It certainly matches my style. But above all, I enjoy helping people, and I want to help you overcome your OCD.
During sessions, I will eventually ask you to share your intrusive thoughts, urges, or feelings. I understand that you may feel hesitant at first due to the nature of your OCD experiences. I’m here to tell you that there is no shame in what you’re going through, and I will make you feel comfortable and not feel like you’re being judged. I’m here to meet you where you’re at. I want to learn about you at the time of our session’s beginning. Members find me personable and even informal, but that’s intentional. I’m looking to develop a connection with you on a personal level. I may even use a little humor to cut the tensions during sessions. Our time is your time, and together, we’ll face your OCD battles so that you can put your anxieties behind you.
