She/Her
Licensed Therapist, LMFT
As a therapist, I'm really collaborative and like to use humor a lot. Whatever you bring, I'll start where you are and go from there, having as much fun as possible. Therapy will stress you out and make you do things you don't want to do, but also we can have some fun in that too. Outside of work, most of my life is spent chasing an 11-month-old around and saying 'No, don't eat that!' I love to extreme-coupon and save money. It's one of my favorite things to do.

It's super-rewarding to see how quickly changes can happen in therapy, and watching people grow. People just have so much hopelessness, and within months they have a whole new outlook on life. That is beautiful.
I was working in law enforcement as a dispatcher. I wanted to help people, but that wasn't really helping people. It wasn't fulfilling for me. So I went back to school and found my passion in being a therapist.
When I learned about ERP, I wanted to give it a try, and I absolutely love it. It's super rewarding to see how quickly changes can happen and to watch people grow. I've seen 18-year-olds who had no hope for the future enrolling in school now and talking about dating—things that weren't even on their radar when we first started therapy. People have so much hopelessness, and within months they have a whole new outlook on life. That is beautiful.
Complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and trauma. I've worked in the foster care system and with sexual assault and human trafficking. Substance abuse, depression, and anxiety run in my family, and my family didn't believe in addressing mental health: 'we don't share what's going on in our house, or with us, with other people.' It's made me understand the hesitancy to get help, to talk to strangers. I don't expect people to show up and spill everything. Sometimes it takes time to get there, and that's okay.
It's going to be hard. I'm going to ask you to face things that you haven't been facing. But the results are 100% worth it. The analogy I use is that you will go from hearing screaming all day to just whispers you don't notice.
Let's start by sharing where you want to share. You don't have to share everything. When we first meet, I'm a stranger. I don't like to share all my details with a stranger either. So let's get to know each other and see where that goes. Start where you want to start.
