About

As a therapist, I bring who I am as a person, not just a therapist, to each session. I very much believe in developing a solid rapport with the people I work with, and that involves really getting to know you. What exactly are your struggles? What are your strengths? What do you hope to see on the other side? With that, I always like to bring a solid sense of humor. A fun fact about me: I am a big dog lover. I have my own dog, a maltese poodle. She's a little over one years old and I love to spend time with her. I'm also big into arts and crafts. I love to cross stitch.

I know people who live with OCD, and I've had personal experience with anxiety. I've seen how debilitating they can be. I've improved my own anxiety, and I'd like to share what I've learned with you.

I've always wanted to help people. This was further propelled through my own lived experience. I have a history managing my own depression and anxiety, and I have my lived experiences dealing with therapy and ERP. I think the resiliency of humans—the ability for people to go through really tough experiences, yet still have the strength and desire to come out on the other side—is really inspiring.

I know people who live with OCD. I've seen how debilitating it can be, and how much they really want to get back to a normal life. I also know how debilitating anxiety can be, and how much it can strip you from living the life you want to live. Knowing that I had the ability to improve my anxiety, I want to share it with everyone else.

I have experience treating depression, anxiety disorders, suicidal thoughts and self-harm. I also have lots of experience with borderline personality disorder and other mood disorders.

It's going to be tough. It's going to ask a lot of you, but it's totally worth it in the end.

Go at your pace. If something doesn't feel comfortable right now, it may feel more comfortable at a later time, and that's fine. We're not in any type of rush. I will meet you where you are.

I love my therapist. Not because she makes me feel better, but because she challenges me and makes me feel capable to handle the challenges.

I adore my therapist. She is very validating. She allows me to process, yet holds the structure of the session. I know I’m doing a lot of hard work, but I don’t think I’d be as far along as I am without her as my therapist. I’m keeping a gratitude journal now, and one thing I am eternally grateful for is NOCD and my therapist.

Liz has been a MAJOR help in my OCD treatment/recovery. Based on my OCD survey results, my OCD has improved by 86% and I DEFINITELY feel like it has, and by that I mean I am managing my OCD a lot better now that I've been working with Liz and doing ERP, major improvement from before I started working with her. 10/10 recommend! I'm also on medication, so that along with being consistent with my ERP, has improved my quality of life. Thank you, NOCD and Liz!

Been working with my NOCD Therapist Liz since July 2022, and I've had a positive experience with her. She is very professional, knowledgeable and detailed. She definitely takes her time with you thoroughly in each session. She's helped me manage my OCD better, and I've seen a MAJOR improvement with my anxiety. She's very experienced with ERP and I know many others can benefit from working with her as I have. I definitely recommend working with Liz to anyone looking for an experienced ERP therapist.

Liz is great. She listen to our concerns about our daughter’s OCD. She is going to help out a plan in place and has been willing to help us with what we’ve needed

My only gripe is that Liz is not taking new patients, even though we were clear that Nicholas is new to nocd. While Liz did a fantastic job, and Nicholas likes her, we feel extremely bummed that she can't take Nicholas. In addition, we'll need to "start over" in two weeks with another therapist. 😣

At the end of the one hour, she told me she didn’t take any new patient and would refer me to someone else, but I was told she had a new patient slot when booking my first session with her.

My therapist is extremely understanding and is not surprised or scared of me because of my thoughts.

Liz is really organized, explained reasons for why we are creating the hierarchy and why we need to "rank" my suds, but I really appreciate that she started with level 10 & then went to level 5 & then to level 1 & was willing to only make me fill in level 3 & level 7 instead of going from 10 down to 9 down to 8 etc. since the rankings are so subjective & for me it's difficult (bc of my ocd) to tell the difference between a 10 & a 9 & 8 & 7 but much more doable to describe the difference between a 10, a 5 & a 1 & Liz understood the reasons for why this is difficult for me. She was flexible enough to allow me to only fill in 10, 5, 1 & then maybe go back & fill in 3 & 7, & then not have to fill in the other rankings.
