He/Him
Licensed Therapist, LCSW
I really believe in person-centered therapy. You are the expert in your life and what's going on right now. I'm just here to be a team member who helps facilitate you getting better, with education and exercises. Some fun facts about me: I have lived on three different continents, and when I'm not working, I really enjoy cooking and reading.

OCD therapy may feel hard in the beginning, but the results are amazing. You will get relief from something you probably thought you'd never get relief from.
Initially, I got into the field because I was intrigued by human behavior, and I wanted to help others. There was also a personal element—I had been in therapy for most of my life, and it helped me through some of my most challenging times. I wanted to continue being a part of that, but on the other side.
OCD is something that's taboo to talk about and difficult to treat. There has been a shortage of specialized treatment for OCD. People with OCD tend to get lumped into different misdiagnoses, then are treated with therapy modalities that aren't effective. So I'm excited to be a part of something that is focused on OCD and provides the right treatment for a person to manage it and get better.
My main focuses outside of OCD have been trauma-focused PTSD, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and mood disorders. I've also worked with ADHD, and with youth and adolescents.

I always tell the people I work with: please be truly honest and authentic with me, because that's where we're going to do the real work and make the most progress. If we're just superficially scratching the surface because you're hiding things or feeling ashamed of saying certain things, we're not going to make the progress you're looking for. It may feel uncomfortable, but speaking freely and talking about those hard, tough topics will enable us to do good work and help you get better as effectively as possible.
