Licensed Therapist, LMHC, NCC, BC-TMH
My approach is focused on helping individuals better understand and work through uncomfortable feelings in a safe environment. We are all unique, and the ways we cope can be learned and unlearned. Sometimes we just need a bit of guidance. Outside of work, I love nature and spending time outdoors. I spend a lot of my free time learning, hiking, going to the beach, and exercising.

It's important for people with OCD to get a proper diagnosis and evidence-based treatment. Working with a knowledgeable therapist is something individuals struggling with OCD deserve.
In high school, I picked up a book by Dr. David Burns that talked about changing your mood by identifying your thoughts. I became fascinated with the idea that we have more control over our mood than we are taught. This opened the door to more reading and understanding, and I became interested in helping others. I started the academic journey to become a psychologist but realized that what I really wanted to do was to help people through the counseling process.
It's important for people with OCD to get a proper diagnosis and evidence-based treatment. Working with a knowledgeable therapist is something individuals struggling with OCD deserve. I love working one-on-one and creating a safe space for people to feel comfortable addressing uncomfortable concerns. I also love seeing some of the positive changes and the confidence increase that many people experience.
My other areas of focus include treating symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I have experience working with all age groups and have provided in-home therapy focusing on the family system. My earlier work includes working with individuals and families experiencing interpersonal violence. I also worked as a community-based clinician with children and their families and was trained in treating trauma-based symptoms.
It is important to know that I am here to help. It is normal to experience periods of sadness, anxiety, or other stressors. Having the tools and support to move through those feelings can be really helpful.
It is normal to have fears and concerns, but talking about your thoughts and feelings will help reduce those fears and ease your concerns in the long run.
