He/Him
Licensed Therapist, MSW, LCSW
My approach to treating OCD is by utilizing the evidence-based practice of exposure and response prevention. We start slowly by introducing you to small situations or thoughts that trigger compulsions and actions, then carefully build up to more difficult exposures as we progress. While challenging, this will lead to greater control over your OCD, and greater control of your life in general. Aside from being a clinician, I very much enjoy music. One of my favorite hobbies involves converting popular songs into acoustic guitar performances. I am also a big movie and television buff. Dramas and thrillers are my favorite genres.

By facing your fears and learning how to sit through discomfort, you'll learn that obsessions and compulsions can be dealt with positively.
I struggled with not knowing what to do with my life for quite some time. During this period, therapists helped me realize my purpose in life was to help people. I knew I wanted to give back, and the best way was to become a therapist myself. It has been the most rewarding experience in my life. I look forward to assisting my members in overcoming their challenges.
In my previous positions, I saw many members suffering from OCD. It was heartbreaking to see what a debilitating condition this can be. At the time, I had no experience in treating OCD, so when the opportunity came about to learn evidence-based practices such as ERP, I jumped at it. I'm now able to truly help those who live with this condition. There's no better feeling than seeing people take control of their lives in ways they never would've imagined. I'm humbled and honored to be a part of that process.
In addition to OCD, I specialize in anxiety, depression, substance use, and LGBTQ+ issues. Throughout my life, I've been challenged in many of those areas. It took dedicated therapists to help get me on the right track, but the work was more than worth it. After seeing the difference therapy made in my life, I wanted to pay that forward.
It's important to know that ERP can be a challenging and emotional experience. However, by facing your fears and learning how to sit through discomfort, you'll ultimately learn that obsessions and compulsions can be dealt with in a positive manner.
Sharing thoughts and experiences can be frightening for new members. I'm here to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your feelings and face your discomfort. I've treated many individuals throughout my career, so there isn't much I haven’t heard in terms of taboo subjects. If you're having difficulty sharing your thoughts and feelings, please know that we'll work at your own pace and comfort level. Although it's challenging, sharing your thoughts is an integral part of ERP, and the rewards in doing so can be bountiful.
