She/Her
Licensed Therapist, MS, LMHC
My approach in treating OCD is collaborative. I want to work alongside the member setting realistic, yet challenging goals that will empower them to confront their OCD while decreasing the anxiety experienced in distressing situations. I will never force the member to do anything they're uncomfortable doing. Outside of work, I enjoy going on walks with my family, watching the sunrise over the ocean, and a more recent hobby is gardening.

You are not your OCD. You are a person who has OCD, and you are not defined by your thoughts.
I became a therapist because I've always been told that I'm trustworthy, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk to. It's my passion, as well as a calling, to help people navigate difficult issues in their lives.
I want to help individuals have freedom from the false imprisonment OCD creates. This will improve relationships with family and friends and allow the individual to return to a life undefined by their OCD.
My other areas of focus include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and family dynamics. I chose to focus on those other areas because of a personal connection to mental illness and strong desire to help people work through their issues, ultimately empowering them to become their own therapist.
It will seem hard in the beginning, but remember that life with OCD is harder. At first, it may seem as though your OCD is getting 'worse', but you're actually learning to tolerate distress and anxiety without using compulsions.
Know that you are not your OCD. You are a person who has OCD, and you are not defined by your thoughts. In our sessions, I will create a nonjudgmental environment where you'll be able to share uncomfortable experiences and intrusive thoughts in a safe space.
