About

In treating OCD, I am committed, patient, and encouraging throughout the process. I tell everyone who comes to therapy that this can be hard, but it's worth it. Nothing comes easy. Therapy is about committing to work on yourself so you can have a better quality of life. Some facts about me: I am a cancer survivor, the oldest of six siblings, a big fan of yoga and meditation, and I love adrenaline and adventure. You name it, and I probably have done it or will do it!

The decision to come to therapy can be one of the hardest—and one of the most rewarding—decisions anyone can make. There is light at the end of the tunnel! We will help you get there.

Get to know Carletta Nance

Pain and suffering are experiences everyone can relate to. As a teenager, I learned that my purpose in this world is to help people on their journey of healing. I am happy to say that I am walking in purpose, on purpose, and I will be doing this work for the rest of my life.

I have spent years helping people with the most common mental health diagnoses. After learning how many people suffer in silence with OCD—and how they are often misdiagnosed and mistreated—I wanted to be a part of the solution and specialize in OCD.

The other areas I've focused on include play therapy, couples and family therapy, addiction recovery, and counseling individuals who have been in trouble with the law. I have experience facilitating anger management and domestic violence groups. Using cognitive behavioral therapy and other client-centered approaches, I have also worked with individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression.

There is light at the end of the tunnel! NOCD is staffed with trained professionals who want to help people reach that light and not feel alone in the process.

If you're scared to share your thoughts, please know that being afraid is normal and very common. I encourage you to continue to come to therapy. Consistency builds trust and confidence.

NOCD therapists are trained by our world-renowned clinical leadership team.

My therapist has helped me understand my OCD, and learn how to fight back. It's not easy and there's still good and bad days, but I'm much better equipped to manage my own OCD and resist compulsions with her help. I'm not done yet, but I'm getting better!

Carletta is and keeps the session focused but empathetic and genuine while helping me move ahead with the ERP. Way more productive than any talk therapy I've ever tried.
