About

My approach to OCD treatment is collaborative. I want to empower members to make decisions in their treatment. We'll create a treatment plan together to make sure your goals are reflected in our work. We'll break things down into manageable challenges, rather than taking it on all at once. When I’m not at work, I spend a lot of my time outdoors. I enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, photography, and attending community events.

Get to know Nate Kretlow

I’ve always been the kind of person who likes to help people. When I was in college, I was fascinated by my psychology courses. I decided to turn that interest into a career I could use to help others.

When I was studying for my master's degree, I worked at a residential unit that specialized in treating OCD. I was astounded at how courageous the clients were in taking on their fears. Their courage, and the progress they made in taking back their lives from OCD, inspired me to specialize in OCD treatment.

I have worked with clients with other disorders including depression, ADHD, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and specific phobias, to name a few. I believe it's important to meet everyone where they're at and treat the whole person, not just their OCD.

Pushing back against OCD can be scary, but seeking help through therapy can be rewarding and effective. Treatment can be challenging, but our goal is for your treatment to be manageable.

It can be challenging to share intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and the feelings associated with them, but talking about them is the first step in overcoming them. Know that we can take the conversation at your own pace. Start by letting me know that you’re having thoughts that are challenging to share, and we’ll go from there. I strive to create a safe space within sessions. I want you to feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.
