Licensed Therapist, MSW, LCSW
I take the time to listen to my members and collaborate with them to create an effective treatment plan, utilizing ERP to assist them in overcoming their intrusive thoughts and fears. I also utilize other methods, such as ACT and mindfulness, where I see fit. A fun fact about me: In another life, I would've been a veterinarian. I absolutely love dogs, particularly Labradoodles. I will often go to a dog park just so I can play with other people’s dogs. I have yet to get my own, but that will soon change!

My goal is to empower you to break free from OCD's grip, so you can experience a life full of joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
I had many family and friends who've been touched by addiction. I originally was a corporate attorney and found that I lacked the purpose and drive that comes with helping people. At age 32, I decided to leave law and go back to school to become a therapist so I could help people with addiction issues. I found it rewarding and so meaningful to work with this population.
At the detox where I was a clinical director, we had a partnership with a local OCD practice. I found that so many people with addiction issues were presenting with OCD. However, I was dismayed to discover that so many clinicians, including myself, had not properly been trained to help people with OCD. I became attracted to the idea of specializing in OCD, where ERP is the gold standard and you can actually witness the incredible improvement it provides.
I have strong experience working with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Living with OCD can be incredibly challenging, and I believe that therapy shouldn't add to that burden. In our teletherapy sessions, I provide a safe and supportive environment where we'll tackle OCD head-on. I firmly believe that it's not our thoughts or emotions causing the problem, but rather how we react to them. Together, we'll explore effective exposure and response prevention (ERP) techniques, which have a proven track record in helping individuals overcome OCD. My members appreciate the way I gently challenge them to step out of their comfort zones and embrace uncertainty with confidence. I understand that progress takes time, and I'll be there every step of the way, supporting you as you build resilience and strength. Through our collaborative work, we'll delve into the nature of your thoughts and fears, understanding their roots and learning how to manage them effectively. My goal is to empower you to break free from OCD's grip, so you can experience a life full of joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
Please remember that I have been a therapist for more than ten years. There is nothing you can tell me that would make me uncomfortable or have any preconceived notions toward you. I pride myself on my compassion and empathy, and I am here to help you. I can't fully help you if you're not completely comfortable being open and honest about your innermost thoughts and feelings.
