About

In treating OCD, I want to get to know you and what brings you to seek therapy. I like to know what goals you'd like to work toward. Knowing how I can best help you helps me to collaborate on goals using ERP. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, dining with friends, art exhibitions, ballet, and painting.

Get to know Mandy Travis

As an undergraduate, I initially was a dual major in psychology and pre-med. It was a difficult choice, but I chose the counseling track at Regis University because of the intensive and thorough program they offered.

I have been practicing therapy for over 12 years. OCD has always fascinated me. The high success rate of ERP therapy as a treatment for OCD was the real deciding factor. I want to see people get better, and I love to guide them in that process.

I have specialized in trauma-related therapies for more than six years, which has been challenging and rewarding. I also work with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic suicidality, and are within the LGBTQIA+ community.

ERP is going to be uncomfortable in the short term, but it will help long term, and I'll be with you every step of the way. This therapy also requires you to practice and complete assignments outside of your therapy sessions. Practice, practice, practice. This will help you get the most out of your therapy and provide you with some relief.

It’s perfectly normal to feel hesitant about sharing thoughts with your therapist because you believe your thoughts are bad, embarrassing, or distressing. I provide a safe space to explore those thoughts through ERP therapy. The more open and honest you are, the better I'm able to help you.
