About

OCD therapy is a collaborative process. We will work together to achieve the objectives we've set. You must be committed and engaged in the process for results to be achieved. I will do my best to help you to help yourself. Outside of work, traveling with my family is at the top of the list of fun things to do. I’ve lived and worked in five countries and have visited 45.

I've had personal experience with intrusive thoughts and anxiety. Nothing you tell me will be judged.

My relationship with therapy started when I was in my early 20s. I have firsthand experience of the benefits that have come from this personal work; I continue it to this day. Following a 40-plus-year career in the hospitality business, I utilize my experience and desire to give back in helping others who are experiencing mental health challenges.

I've had personal experience with anxiety and intrusive thoughts, which I didn't understand or have properly diagnosed. As a result, being in a position to help others with similar experiences is a primary motivation.

My clinical experience has ranged from family and couples therapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and agoraphobia. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I believe in the value of a systemic view of intervention. We are not an island; we are influenced by and affected by various factors, including our family of origin and other external factors.

ERP is an empirically proven process that is quite structured. In other words, what we're doing in session and out has proven to be the gold standard for OCD treatment when the structure and processes are followed.

This is a normal response for many people. It may help to remember that I've had personal experience with intrusive thoughts and anxiety. Nothing you say will be judged or even surprising.
