Licensed Professional Counselor
Pre-license number: C.2204497
Under the supervision of Joshua HamrickI treat OCD with ERP, an evidence-based therapy that is the gold standard. I believe it's important to emphasize collaboration, empathy, and compassion. I always try to strike a balance between the evidence-supported implementation of ERP and being an authentic human who's helping you along a difficult path. Outside of work, I enjoy playing guitar, bicycle riding, and reading several kinds of books, with historical and science fiction being my favorite genres.

Changing what we do takes time and effort. There's something so amazing about seeing OCD symptoms improve so drastically.
I've always had an interest in psychology. In undergraduate school, I took a counseling course that focused on different theories of therapy and fell in love with it. I decided therapy is what I wanted to do for my career.
I have worked with people who have OCD in the past. Seeing the struggles they faced, and the difficulty they had in working through those struggles, pushed me to learn more about OCD. I've worked with several different populations, but there's something so amazing about seeing OCD symptoms improve so drastically with ERP treatment that I decided to specialize in it.
I have also worked with people struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and personality disorders.
NOCD Therapy centers on ERP, an evidence-based treatment that focuses on changing behavior. Changing what we do takes time and effort. NOCD Therapy is a commitment requiring homework to be done—often every day, and even many times a day in some cases. It will be challenging, but OCD will take time and effort to work through.
Sharing our innermost struggles and thoughts is a difficult challenge that takes time and trust. I will work hard to help build that trust, while teaching you about the different kinds of OCD and how ERP treatment works. I hope it becomes easier to share as we get to know each other. Sharing your inner experience, while difficult, is a necessary part of OCD treatment.
NOCD therapists are trained by our world-renowned clinical leadership team.
