About

My approach to treating OCD is gradual and collaborative, but aggressive. There is nothing nice about OCD, and my goal for everyone I treat is for them to boldly stand up to their symptoms. When I'm not working, I'm hunting for new music or in the gym. I started powerlifting just under two years ago and fell in love with it.

It is so gratifying to see people put in the work and eventually believe in their abilities, in the same way I do as their therapist.

There's something so special about watching someone find empowerment within themselves. A strong sense of self is something that can't be bought or given. I wanted to choose a career that helped people find their own power. It's a privilege to ask strategic questions and implement specific interventions while watching people build themselves from the inside out.

OCD differs from other diagnoses. It can't be soothed with logic or by simply talking it out. OCD can't be coddled; it has to be approached with a fighting spirit. What I love about treating OCD is that we're forced to push limits, and when we find them, we push them some more, until those thoughts, worries, or fears no longer imprison you.

Social phobia and generalized anxiety. Similar to OCD, stress is often exacerbated by cyclical thoughts. I enjoy supporting people in breaking their thought patterns and finding peace in their perspectives. My favorite part of treatment is when my clients no longer need me. It is so gratifying to see people put in the work and eventually believe in their own abilities, in the same way I do as their therapist.

The power is within you. It always has been. Yes, treatment is going to feel rough, but building distress tolerance is like building a muscle. Something that may have felt impossible before will be almost unnoticeable after putting in that work and building strength. I will be there every step of the way to make sure we're staying within a healthy threshold but still getting pushed.

Please know that all information is good information to me. Any insights or passing thoughts you have will always be relevant to treatment and helpful in getting better. When any doubts or feelings of hesitance arise, please remember that I'm here for you, and my purpose is to help you navigate and face these thoughts.
