About

As an OCD therapist, I'm curious, open, confident and supportive, yet firm. Therapy emphasizes the healing nature of positive relationships, and I find this to be an integral part of what makes us human. When I'm not doing therapy, I love cooking, being outside in nature, and exploring local spots in my city with loved ones on the weekends.

Get to know Chelsea Morgan

I've always been curious about people and what makes us who we are. As I got older, that curiosity grew and came with the desire to work with others to improve the quality of their lives. In college psychology courses, I assisted with research projects about child development, parent and child relationships, and volunteer work with prisoners who needed post-release support. After receiving my bachelor's degree, I worked in the administrative side of behavioral health. After two years, I decided to apply to work directly with the population I was doing administrative work for, and I haven’t looked back since.

In my experience, OCD is quite common, but talk therapy isn’t enough to help people find relief. I specialize in a handful of related disorders, including anxiety and trauma. I also have a background in applied behavioral analysis. Specializing in OCD and ERP sounded like a great way to merge two separate skill sets and my clinical interests into one.

Generalized anxiety, PTSD, unipolar and bipolar depression, and relationship dysfunction in families and couples. I’ve always been intrigued by family/relationship dynamics, anxiety and trauma. Mood disorders often accompany these issues, so understanding that intersection is necessary.

Change is hard. Knowing that, but choosing to take that path, is an act of bravery. You are probably making one of the hardest decisions of your life by choosing to help yourself with something that feels uncontrollable. For that, you're one of the bravest people out there. Be proud of yourself for doing hard things.

Judgment doesn't allow me to do my job, and it doesn't empower you to help yourself. I check any judgments and biases I may have, because I'm human first, just like you. I'm open and curious about your experience, even the parts that feel ugly. I want to understand your experience so I can provide the help you need. Start where you feel comfortable, so you can take the time to trust me.
