About

My approach to OCD would include helping the member understand that they have the power in their treatment and that we are on a journey together to help address what is going on in their lives. Also, that there would be no judgment and every emotion is important, no matter how small one may feel that it is.

Get to know Michael Britt

Growing up, I was curious about why we all feel so differently when faced with the same struggles. I wanted to understand. As I continued on my path of discovery, I recognized how much I wanted to help others who struggled, not only with things I was feeling and thinking but different things as well. That journey and hardship made me want to become a therapist.

Though my personal struggles weren't directly related to OCD, I have a great understanding of anxiety in general. Having experienced anxiety attacks—and the terrifying struggle of working through them—in addition to mind-numbing depression, I wanted to help others face the fears we feel in life.

I also focus on trauma, depression, and mood disorders, as well as personality disorders within the scope of my experience.

I'd suggest you allow yourself to recognize your fears or aversions, and open yourself up to trust a new process and potentially new way of thinking.

Tell me when you're ready. I won't judge you for needing time to disclose. I am here for you!
