I've held a private practice for over 15 years, treating a wide range of cases such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. I've seen a bit of everything, having treated men, women, and couples for different mental health challenges. As an OCD specialist, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to treat any OCD subtype. ERP does require that you do out-of-session work at home, but with a full commitment, I know you can use ERP to overcome OCD.
OCD can leave a person debilitated and isolated, living day to day in fear of what may happen. Compulsions may seem like a solution, but they lose their effectiveness the more you do them. But ERP offers hope. It can be uncomfortable at first, as ERP exposes you to situations that provoke your compulsions to bring distress—but it's worth the work. You'll learn how to manage OCD on your own, a great tool to use throughout your entire life. I believe that building rapport is key to good therapy. You're an expert on your life, and you'll be the one doing the work. I'm here as a professional guide, making our sessions a real collaboration.
