I have an extensive background in treating OCD as well as other health challenges such as substance abuse and trauma. My time in community and residential health centers has allowed me to help people with traumatic stress and OCD symptoms while giving therapeutic care to pregnant and postpartum women. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to treat OCD because it holds the best success rate in treating OCD and improving your quality of life.
ERP is structured so that I can apply it to any OCD subtype. To begin ERP, I'll ask you to unpack emotions and feelings you may have been carrying around for years. Having done through therapy myself, I understand the challenge you’re facing, and I'm here to guide you through exercises that you'll be able to use well after our sessions are complete. Going through therapy has made me a better therapist. I can empathize with your anxiousness in starting a brand new relationship with a therapist, so I'll create a nonjudgmental space so you can safely share your OCD experiences. You'll find me down-to-earth, flexible, and good at making you feel comfortable. Most importantly, I love to educate, so you'll understand what's going on while learning how to get your life back from OCD.
